Privacy Policy
Last updated 20 October 2026
This policy explains how the All American Institute of Medical Sciences (“AAIMS”, “we”, “us”) handles personal data when you visit aaims-edu.org and its country sites, enquire about our programmes, apply, or study with us. AAIMS is the data controller. We process personal data in line with the Jamaica Data Protection Act, 2020.
Who we are
All American Institute of Medical Sciences, 30 Shortwood Road, Kingston 8, Jamaica. Contact us about privacy at info@aaims.edu.jm or on 1-866-224-6763.
What we collect
When you enquire
Your name, email address, phone number (optional), the programme you are interested in, any message you send, and the country site you used.
When you create an account and apply
Your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash); your contact details and personal information; your education history, transcripts and other documents you upload; your personal statement; interview scheduling; and admissions decisions.
When you study with us
Your student record: enrolment, courses, attendance, assessments and grades, clinical rotations and evaluations, competency progress, certificates, and billing and payment records.
When you browse the website
- Essential cookies. A session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a first-party cookie (
aaims_attr, kept for 90 days) that records which campaign or country site first brought you to us, so we can tell which outreach works. - Analytics and advertising cookies, only if you accept them: Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and the Meta pixel, on our public marketing pages only. They are never loaded inside the student and staff portal.
Your cookie choice is stored in your browser. You can change it at any time:
How we use it
- To answer your enquiry and send you the programme information you asked for.
- To assess your application, schedule interviews and make admissions decisions.
- To enrol you, deliver teaching and clinical training, and keep your academic record.
- To bill tuition and take payments.
- To send you service emails about your account, application or studies.
- To measure and improve our website and recruitment campaigns, with your consent.
- To meet our legal, regulatory and accreditation obligations.
We rely on your consent (analytics and advertising cookies, and marketing contact), on the steps needed to enter into and perform our agreement with you (applications, enrolment, teaching, billing), and on our legal obligations and legitimate interests in running the school securely.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:
- Service providers that run parts of our platform for us: Amazon Web Services (hosting), SendGrid (email delivery), Stripe (card payments — we never see or store your full card number), and BigBlueButton (online classes).
- Google and Meta, for analytics and advertising measurement, only if you accept those cookies.
- Midway Specialty Care and teaching hospitals, for students placed with them for clinical training, limited to what the placement needs.
- Regulators, accreditation bodies, licensing authorities and credential verifiers (such as ECFMG) when the law requires it or when you ask us to verify your qualifications.
Some of these providers process data outside Jamaica, including in the United States. Where they do, we use providers that apply appropriate safeguards to protect it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as you remain interested and are deleted on request. Application records for applicants who do not enrol are kept for the admissions cycle and a reasonable period afterwards. Academic records of students and graduates are kept permanently, because graduates rely on them to verify their degree and seek licensure.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to stop using it for direct marketing, withdraw consent you have given, and object to or ask us to limit other processing. Write to info@aaims.edu.jm. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Information Commissioner, Jamaica.
Security
The website and portal are served only over encrypted connections, passwords are stored as secure hashes, and portal access is limited by role. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data we will notify you and the regulator as the law requires.
Children
Our programmes are for applicants who have completed secondary school. If you are under 18, please involve a parent or guardian before you apply.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above. See also our Terms of Use.
